- The Elastic Strap: The strap can
be rinsed in fresh water or washed with a mild soap. Never
scrub, chest strap does wear out and may need to be replaced.
- Transmitter: Never scrub the
rubber electrode surfaces. Carefully dry the transmitter
immediately after each workout or rinsing. To extend its life,
avoid bending the electrodes.
- Watch: If the display contrast
changes and figures become faint, it is time to replace the watch
battery. Consider changing the watch and transmitter batteries
at the same time.
- Storage: Do not expose your heart
rate watch to extreme cold or hot temperatures. For example, do
not leave your heart monitor in a car indirect sunlight or near a
radiator.
- Batteries and Battery Replacement:
Transmitter: Unscrew the battery cover located on the
back of the transmitter with a screwdriver or similar object.
Remove the old battery. Place the new battery, model CR2032,
into the compartment with the (+) side facing up. Replace the
cover and tighten screws.
Watch: Unscrew the four screws on the stainless steel
back cover. Look closely at the battery housing and remove the
two small screws located at the 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock
positions. Gently remove the battery and replace it with a new
battery the (+) side facing up. Return and tighten the two
battery housing screws. Secure the watch back panel with the
four outside screws. Be careful not to over tighten and strip
the casing.
